Generous Clam (Panopea Globosa)

GENERALITIES:  
Description: The generous clam is a bivalve mollusk that is extracted from the seabed by means of semi-autonomous diving. It is found at depths ranging from 15 to 30 meters.
The minimum size is 13 cm shell and the weight of the product can vary from 700 grams to 1 kg/piece 
The product is sent to the plant to be kept in humid storage before distribution.

MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS: 
The product cannot be in contact with ice, it should not be in refrigeration temperatures because the clam dies. 

This product is handled live, packed in foam boxes containing packaging material to protect   and preserve the product 
Once received at the sales location, the product must be carefully unpacked to avoid damage due to breakage.  
It is recommended to keep it in a system with humid storage 

Dissolved oxygen: 4 to 5 ppm

Temperature: 17°C to 18.5°C

Salinity: 3.2 to 3.4%

pH: 7.9 to 8.2

Ammonium: ≤ 0.5 ppm
